Jesus was born 3996 years after Adam in what we know as 7 BC.
Our present year 2008 is the year 6011 from Adam and 7214 from the creation of the earth.
The first 3 days of creation lasted 1203 years of our measured time because they were created before the Universe and before our days and hours were established. This gave plenty of time to freeze the poles and cause dry land to appear and for the trees and plants to grow. The Catholic Church has always taught that the earth was created 5199 years prior to the birth of Christ. [This information can also be found on page 308 in the "Mystical city of God "abridged.] On page 64 of “The Life of Jesus Christ”, volume 1 by Catherine Emmerich you find that Christ was born 3996 years after the creation of Adam. 5199 -3996 equal 1203 years.
